TCI Model 625
When external electrical noise is relatively high, small receiving antennas such as TCI’s 600 Series Loop Arrays can work as well as full-size, fully efficient antennas. Unlike a dipole, a loop’s performance is relatively unaffected by buildings, trees, snow, etc., which tend to short out radiation energy near the element. Loops also can be configured in arrays tailored to particular receiving requirements.
The Model 625 is a pair of orthogonal loops mounted on a common axis, with a diameter of 3.66 meters. Individual outputs from each loop provide bidirectional signals; outputs can also be combined to provide omnidirectional coverage.
For other loop antenna solutions, see TCI Model 612.
