TCI Product Advantages
TCI offers a wide range of HF antennas for both broadcast and communications applications. TCI HF antennas often provide more bandwidth and gain than alternate antennas. TCI MF antennas are available in many different configurations and power handling capacities, some using shunt-feeds that eliminate the need for antenna tuning units. TCI antennas are extensively prefabricated to minimize installation costs and use carefully selected, durable materials to minimize maintenance, thus providing the lowest total cost of ownership.
Designs for All Requirements
TCI's product line includes:
- HF antennas precisely tailored antennas to provide omni-directional, sectoral, or highly directional coverage for short, medium or long distances. TCI's antennas incorporate novel structural design and production techniques to maximize performance and minimize land area requirements.
- A wide range of HF dipole arrays and log-periodics that operate at the high power levels used in analog and digital short wave broadcasting.
- A unique non-rotating, low-maintenance, omni-directional HF log-periodic antenna that replaces mechanically rotatable communications antennas that require extensive maintenance to keep in operation.
- A wide range of transportable and tactical HF antennas for military or emergency communications system.
- A large variety of MF antennas, some capable of operating with 2000 kW super-power transmitters.
- A novel sky-wave suppressing antenna that is optimized for digital short wave broadcasting in the 26 MHz band.
Superb Quality
- TCI HF antenna shares the same high-quality, exhaustively tested components and materials. Radiators, feedlines and catenaries for fixed antennas are made from Alumoweld, a wire composed of a high-strength steel core and a highly conductive, sacrificial, corrosion resistant welded coating of aluminum. All radiator tip insulators are made of high-strength glazed alumina, a material with an extremely low loss tangent (.001) that is also virtually impervious to the effects of ultraviolet radiation, dirt and salt spray.
- TCI fixed HF antennas use Alumoweld catenaries, segmented by fail-safe insulators when necessary.
- Antenna wires are pre-fabricated at the TCI factory and use aluminum fittings and aluminum nuts and bolts to eliminate dissimilar metal contacts, which are a source of corrosion.
