MF Broadcast Products

TCI offers Models 604, 604ST, and 604H antennas for broadcasting in the 525 to 1715 kHz MF band. The 604 and 604ST are available as either single element omni antennas or multi-element directional arrays (DAs). DAs can have switchable beams that allow the broadcaster to easily change the antennas’s radiation pattern and coverage area. 604 antennas can be base- or shunt-fed and are provided with Antenna Tuning Units (ATUs) that contain inductors and capacitors. The 604ST is shunt-fed that is self tuned and does not require an ATU. The 604 and 604ST are vertically polarized antennas that primarily produce produce strong ground wave signals. The 604H MF antenna is horizontally polarized and transmits only a sky wave signal. 604, 604ST, and 604H antennas are available for a wide range of power handling capacities from 10 kW to 2000 kW.

   
  • No Antenna Tuning Units are required for TC's self-tuned, shunt-fed elements.


  • Single tower or Multiple Tower 604 or 604ST DAs can be guyed or self-standing.


  • TCI's 604H horizontally polarized antenna provides high angle MF skywave signals for special applications.
